Pam Monfore & Ray Monfore
Pam Monfore fell in love with Appalachian old time music while living
in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. She taught herself to play clawhammer banjo while living in Alaska and
since leaving Alaska in 2011 has been traveling to festivals and workshops to hone her skills. In 2015, Pam won First Place on banjo
in the Florida Old Time Music Championship, and playing with Florida Master Fiddler Chuck Levy, took Second Place in the Florida Old
Time Fiddlers Association annual competition. Pam and her bassist husband Ray Monfore currently play throughout SD while continuing
to travel to meet up and play with musician friends in many states.
